Offline Running for the Kids” campaign yielded 1426.82 euros for the St. Nikolaus Children’s Hospice
Michael Heckelsmiller (center) and Martin Fries (right) handed over a donation of 1426.82 euros to the St. Nikolaus children’s hospice. The two are enthusiastic athletes and can be found at every running event in the area. After many runs were cancelled due to the pandemic, they now set up a charity run for the second time, donating 50 cents for every kilometer run. Heckelsmiller recounted, “Once again, we were able to motivate many participants via our Instagram account “Offli_ne20″ to get moving in the form of hiking, walking and jogging.” Martin Fries added: “In this way, the distances walked reached us every day and in the end we were able to reach the total distance of 2170 kilometers.” They were pleased that their campaign met with such a great response and thanked supporting companies and private sponsors. In particular, they singled out the companies e-con AG, Memmingen, Mayr & Abel Druck GmbH, Legau, AH-Effect (media design), Ingolstadt, and the SBS Finningen soccer club. Brigitte Waltl from the Süddeutsche Kinderhospiz-Stiftung (sponsor of the children’s hospice) expressed her sincere thanks to the dedicated organizers.
